Just to share some good practice we were recently involved in for a client, we set up a generic risk assessment system using 2 indicators which changed with each job. This resulted in a multiple risk table, but took the onus off the member of staff to have to decide the risk level - so a win-win occured. They have over 99 percent compliance on completion of detailed risk assessments now because they are easy to use. ( Matrix Safety audit for compliance on a random basis and look at over 500 risk assessments a month. ). The other win is that the Managers sleep at night.
